Crystal Palace have secured the signing of Australian international midfielder Mile Jedinak, subject to the player receiving a work permit.

The 26-year-old moves to Selhurst Park on a free transfer after leaving Turkish club Gençlerbirliği back in June, and is Eagles manager Dougie Freedman's third signing in the summer transfer window thus far.

"I am delighted to be joining Crystal Palace Football Club at this stage in my career. I am impressed by Dougie Freedman and what he wants to achieve at the club and I cannot wait to get started," the former Sydney United star told the official Palace website.

"Crystal Palace has a fantastic heritage and a wonderful set of fans and I am looking forward to playing in front of them at Selhurst Park."

Jedinak will fulfil a lifetimes ambition when he makes his debut for Palace next season, and will begin training with the squad once they return from their pre-season tour of the West Country.

"Playing in the UK has always been an ambition of mine and I am totally determined to make my time here an absolute success."

The Aussie joins Glenn Murray and Kagisho Dikgacoi as new players in south-west London, and manager Freedman is happy with the way his squad is starting to take shape for the new campaign, which kicks-off against Peterborough United on August 7th.

"Glen Murray's joined us from Brighton on a free transfer which is fantastic for us - he scored 20 odd goals for them last year. I think that'll be a good signing for us and everyone knows about KG [Dikgacoi] from last year," he told the official website.

"The KG deal was the one that I was [really] looking to do. A mobile, central midfielder, 26 years of age, an international and can only get better. That's the (type of) signings we want to bring in and the most pleasing thing is that they both wanted to come and play for the club.

"I feel that Crystal Palace need to get to a level where we attract players that want to come to us, we no longer should go into the loan market or be paying over the odds for certain players. It will be my job to convince players to come and play here."
