Wesley Sneijder is ready to complete a deal to sign for Manchester United, according to The Sun.
Following the retirement of Paul Scholes, United are looking to plug the gap in their midfield.
And with Luka Modric craving a move to Chelsea, Sneijder has become United's No.1 midfield target.
A team-mate told The Sun: "Everyone expects Wesley's move to United to be announced soon, maybe as early as Wednesday."
"He has even spoken to Dutch international team-mate Nigel de Jong to find out where are the best places to live in Manchester.
"It all looks imminent, no matter what Inter or Wesley may say in public.
"It seems Inter want to sell but don't want to admit it, while Wesley wants to go but doesn't want to say it. It's a good move for him and good business for Inter."
A deal for Sneijder, expected to be worth £35 million, would make him United's highest paid player, with the Dutchman expected to earn £220,000 a week, more than current highest earner Wayne Rooney.
