Ex-Arsenal midfielder Ryan Smith has been offered a trial with Spanish side Real Zaragoza according to talkSPORT.
The 24-year-old winger is currently a free agent after MLS side Kansas City Wizards agreed to the mutual termination of his contract after Smith cited he wanted to be closer to his UK-based family.
The former Gunner has enjoyed previous spells at Leicester, Derby, Millwall, Southampton and Crystal Palace after being deemed surplus to requirements in Arsene Wenger's squad.
After making his Arsenal debut at the age of 16 against Rotherham United in 2003, the England youth international went on to make three more senior appearances in north London all in the now-named Carling Cup against Wolves, Middlesbrough and Everton.
Smith netted on his Kansas City debut in a 4-0 win over DC United, and went on to make a total of 32 appearances, scoring four goals before leaving the USA last month.
It is unclear whether the Arsenal academy graduate would be willing to move abroad again, but Zaragoza coach Javier Aguirre hopes the lure of the La Liga will be enough to persuade him.
