Speculation linking Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas with a return to Barcelona won't seem to go away, with Victor Valdes the latest player to intimate a move will go through this summer reports talkSPORT.

The Catalan keeper claims that Fabregas is already excited about joining Pep Guardiola's squad, and has his heart set on a transfer back to the Camp Nou ahead of the 2011/12 campaign.

"Cesc is excited about coming back here and I'd like that," Valdes said at the launch of his official website.

"His way of playing would mean he'd have no problems adapting and he'd bring a lot of quality."

The Gunners star is embroiled in yet another transfer saga involving his boyhood club, but Barcelona revealed they are still no closer to agreeing a fee with Arsenal.

Fabregas remained in north London when the squad set off for the clubs pre-season tour of Asia, but manager Arsene Wenger insisted the Spaniard stayed behind to continue rehabilitation on his long-standing hamstring injury.

Valdes' latest comments will do little to appease Wenger, who is keen to draw a line under rumours linking a number of Arsenal's star players with the Emirates Stadium exit.
