Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka could be targeted by MLS pair New York Red Bulls and LA Galaxy, according to the Evening Standard.
And following the success of David Beckham and Thierry Henry's spells in the MLS, Anelka could be the next established Premier League player to join up.
The French forward is expected to leave the club this summer in the wake of Andre Villas-Boas' appointment as Chelsea boss this summer.
The Chelsea forward could be offered a deal worth £100,000 a week, a deal that could be matched to lure Anelka state-side.
However the Chelsea man isn't likely to force a move out of Stamford Bridge, and would be willing to see out the remainder of his deal, of which there is a year to run.
