Highly rated Freiburg forward Papiss Demba Cisse admits he is flattered by speculation linking him with both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, but is keen to remain in Germany to continue his development.
Cisse was a revelation in the Bundesliga last season, scoring 22 goals in 32 appearances at the Badenova-Stadion, helping Freiburg to a ninth-placed finish.
His impressive performances attracted the attention of a number of potential suitors with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger reportedly keen on the 26-year-old Senegalese international.
However, following the recent arrival of Gervinho at the Emirates Stadium, it is unclear whether or not the Gunners will move to recruit another striker.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is also keen to strengthen his attacking options at White Hart Lane this summer, and could yet try to convince Cisse to join him at Tottenham.
But any potential plans Spurs or Arsenal may have had of luring him to north London looks to have hit the buffers after Cisse revealed his intentions to remain at Freiburg.
"I have been linked with clubs but like my sport director keeps on saying, there is no offer for me yet from any club," Cisse told SkySports.com.
"To be linked with the Premier League is fantastic, but to be honest one more year in the Bundesliga can teach me some lessons about top-flight football."
