Former Aberdeen goalkeeper Mark Howard has been handed a trial at Bradford.

Bantams boss Peter Jackson is now likely to include the 24-year-old in the squad to face Guiseley on Tuesday night as he searches for cover for Jon McLaughlin between the sticks.

Howard started his career with Arsenal's youth team, spending time on loan at Falkirk before joining Cardiff in 2006.

A permanent switch to St Mirren followed, and after 46 senior appearances, he joined Aberdeen on a one-year contract last July.
