Liverpool looks set to hold on to Italian striker Alberto Aquilani, despite rumours that he will return to Italy to play for Serie A side Fiorentina.
Kenny Dalglish had admitted that some players would have to leave Anfield, as Liverpool look to recycle their squad.
But Aquilani's agent Franco Zavaglia has denied the rumours and insisted that "Aquilani will certainly stay at Liverpool."
"Alberto has got over his ankle problem, he's back in the international set-up and has the characteristics nedded to do well in the Premier League," he continued.
“He’s in pre-season training with Liverpool and has played in all of the team’s summer tour games so far.”
The Italian 27-year-old has not been a regular at Anfield, after injury woes and a loan to Juventus last year, but now seems to be a real option for Kenny Dalglish.
