Cardiff manager Malky Mackay has begun talks with Bursaspor striker Kenny Miller.

The npower Championship club have matched the Turkish club's asking price, which was more than double the £400,000 bid that Rangers failed to bring the 31-year-old back to Ibrox with.

"We've been in talks with Miller," Mackay said. "Bursaspor have accepted a bid and we're trying to get it done."

He added: "I've explained my thoughts on Cardiff and what we can offer him.

"He's a top footballer and getting better and better."

Rangers look set to end their pursuit of Miller, who scored 21 goals for the Scottish champions last season before his January move to Turkey, where he has failed to settle.
