Inter Milan manager Gian Piero Gasperini has admitted that he hasn’t discussed a move with Wesley Sneijder, as transfer rumours continue to surround the midfielder.

"I've never thought about [asking Sneijder if he's staying],” Gasperini said at a training session.

"I only work with Sneijder from an Inter perspective. In these days I have seen his attachment to the shirt and the new position.”

But despite the manager admitting he hasn’t spoken to Sneijder about a deal Manchester United, Gasperini insists he doesn’t think it is likely that the star will make the move to Old Trafford.

"I do not think this is a possibility,” he said.

Last week rumours of a move for Sneijder seemed to be quashed by Sir Alex Ferguson, with the United manager telling reporters to ‘forget’ the prospect of the title winners taking Sneijder on.

But Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti hinted that a move to Manchester United may indeed be on the cards for Sneijder, telling reporters: "Is Sneijder staying or going? I've been asking myself that question. I hope that he stays.”
