Albert Jarrett will spend a week on trial at Hereford after being released by Lincoln at the end of last season.
The 26-year-old midfielder played 70 minutes of Hereford's friendly against Telford on Tuesday night and will spend the rest of the week trying to impress Bulls boss Jamie Pitman.
"It was his first game of pre-season and he did okay," Pitman told the club's official website.
"He's trying to get himself back into it so you can't be too critical.
"He's going to stay with us for a week so we'll have a look at him."
