Wolves boss hints at more Molineux movers and shakers

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy won't rule out the possibility of more moves in the transfer market this summer.

The former Republic of Ireland chief watched his side beat Celtic 2-0 in a pre-season friendly last night at Park Head, and admitted after the games that players could still go both ways from Molineux during the transfer window.

Dorus De Vries and Roger Johnson are the two big signings for the club so far this summer, whilst Jamie O'Hara made his loan move from Spurs permanent.

"We keep looking, but we don't know. There's still quite a lot of time to go in the window actually and who's to say we might turn someone over - there might be someone leave and someone else come in," he told the official Wolves website.

"And that's not Jarvis, Doyle or Fletcher. But something might happen. I'm not expecting it, but it could. We may possibly be able to do business and pick somebody up but there's nothing imminent."

The signing of Johnson has left McCarthy with a selection dilemma at centre back, with Christophe Berra fighting for a starting birth next season.

The Scottish international fell out of favour towards the end of last term, but has impressed so far this summer and is back in the manager's plans for the new campaign.

"He's a great character and he had a good season. He felt he had his nose pushed out of joint because I left him out towards the end of the season, but everyone does when I leave them out," the boss continued.

"But I was trying to find a formula to win some games and we took seven points from the last 12 so the decision was vindicated.

"He's back in the side and he's having a good pre-season so he needs to stay in the side."
