Steve McClaren has appointed former Leicester boss Rob Kelly as his assistant at Nottingham Forest.

The 46-year-old spent 18 months in charge of the Foxes four years ago and has also been assistant manager at Preston and Sheffield Wednesday.

Former England coach McClaren took charge at the City Ground in June.

Last week he brought in former Chelsea and Holland striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink as first-team coach.
