Former Mancheser United star Cristiano Ronaldo has hinted that he may make a return to the Barclays Premier League as some point in the future.

"Whether there is a chance that I will return to the Premier League one day? Possibly, you never know what will happen," Ronaldo said.

Ronaldo left Manchester United for a reported fee of £80 million for Real Madrid in 2009, and while United have often said they would consider taking Ronaldo back, the Portugal international seemed happy in Spain.

Ronaldo clearly has some rivalries to settle at his current club first, with the winger insisting that when Real Madrid face Barcelona in the Supercopa, they will be ready.

"It's always important to win, so we also want to win the Supercopa. We are focusing on our training camp in China now, but we'll make sure we are ready when Barcelona await,” Ronaldo said.

United will certainly be on alert for the star should he make a move back to England, with Sir Alex Ferguson in particular admitting to being a big fan of the former best player in the world.
