Nouveau riche Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly set to continue their summer spending spree by adding Chelsea and Tottenham target Gabriel Torje to their ranks.
According to talkSPORT, PSG have stolen a march on the London rivals in the pursuit of the man dubbed the 'Romanian Messi', and are ready to meet Dinamo Bucharest's £10 million asking price.
Whether or not Chelsea or Spurs ever made a formal approach for the 21-year-old remains unclear, but both clubs are said to have been monitoring his progress with interest.
It's not the first time PSG - who are owned by Qatar Investment Authority - have scuppered the transfer plans of Chelsea this summer, with the Ligue 1 outfit close to completing a deal for Palermo playmaker Javier Pastore.
Chelsea were thought to be the frontrunners to sign the Argentina international, but it would now appear PSG are set to trump the Blues in a deal worth around £40 million.
Meanwhile, Spurs will be hoping they can provide Chelsea with a further headache in the transfer market by coaxing Scott Parker to White Hart Lane.
Both Chelsea and Spurs have been credited with interest in the England international, although West Ham are holding firm over their valuation.
