Arsenal are sending scouts to watch Ghana international Samuel Inkoom in Tuesday’s friendly with Nigeria, according to Sky Sports.
Inkoom, who currently plays for Ukrainian side FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, has shown a lot of potential, and at the tender age of 22, Arsene Wenger reportedly wants to bring the defender on board to shore up the side’s backline.
Aston Villa and Fulham are also said to be tracking Inkoom, but Arsenal are in the lead to sign the youngster, with the Gunners able to offer Champions League football, and Wenger willing to give Inkoom game time on his arrival.
Now Arsenal are reportedly planning on watching the stopper, and will assess whether he has the skills to join the London club.
Inkoom will be in London later this month, with Dnipro taking on Fulham in the Europa League play-offs, setting up the possibility of talks with Arsenal.
