Chelsea's unbeaten run through pre-season means that mystery surrounds who will start for the Blues in their Barclays Premier League opener against Stoke City, according to goalkeeper Petr Cech.
Seven wins out of seven leave the Stamford Bridge outfit, under the stewardship of new boss Andre Villas-Boas, in good spirits ahead of the coming season, despite free-spending Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United looking ominous ahead of the new campaign.
Villas-Boas will be exposed to the pressure cooker that is the English top flight this Sunday when he take his side to the Britannia Stadium, but Cech admits the personnel the Portuguese manager will include is yet to be decided.
"I think it's fair to say that each player was given more or less the same amount of time to impress, but it's hard to say who will be in the starting line-up against Stoke,” Cech said.
"Looking at who started on Saturday you cannot tell and the coaches still have this week to pick the best 11 players.
"We are glad to have won the last friendly too. In pre-season we won all fixtures and that is good for our psyche."
Despite many of the first team squad unsure of their place in Chelsea's starting XI, Cech is one who can be confident he has a pivotal role to play this season.
The stopper claimed 15 clean sheets in the division last season, just two behind Joe Hart, whose impressive late season form saw him claim the Golden Glove ahead of the Czech Republic international.
