Euell completes Valley return

Jason Euell has rejoined Charlton on a one-year deal.

The 34-year-old striker was released by Blackpool in May after making three Premier League appearances for the Seasiders last term.

Euell initially joined the Addicks from Wimbledon in 2001 for a then club-record fee of £4.75million and made 155 appearances, scoring 37 goals.

The former Jamaica international, who has also played for Middlesbrough, Southampton and Doncaster, had been training with Chris Powell's men this summer and featured in a couple of pre-season friendlies.

Following one of those friendlies back in July, Euell told the club's official website: "It feels good to be back and I'm happy that Chris Powell and the club have allowed me to come back to train and get fit.

"It felt good to pull the Charlton shirt back on and to just play some football again."
