Manchester United signing Dean Henderson has revealed that moving to Old Trafford was a dream come true, and the 14-year-old is hoping to repay the faith shown in him by Sir Alex Ferguson.
"The club has been fantastic and I can't thank them enough," Dean said.
"I just want to get there and get training. It's a dream come true.
“I've been a Manchester United fan all my life and they are the only club I've ever wanted to play for."
Henderson signed for Manchester United this week and will remain at Old Trafford for at least two years.
The young goalkeeper, who attends St Benedict's School pupil and is a product of Carlisle's Centre of Excellence, paid special tribute to his old club for taking him towards his dream of playing for United.
"All the coaches have brought me on so much, including Dave Wilkes, Eric Kinder, Tony Caig and Ben Benson. I'd like to thank Carlisle United for the opportunity.”
Henderson was reportedly fielding interest from Chelsea and Newcastle before United signed him, and Talksport have rated the youngster a 'star of the future.'
