Reported Chelsea and Tottenham target Radamel Falcao will reject any overtures from the Barclays Premier League this summer in order to join Real Madrid next year, it has been claimed.

According to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, the much sought after Porto striker has his sights set on the Santiago Bernabeu, while Real are prepared to wait a year to secure his services.

Chelsea had been installed as frontrunners to sign the 25-year-old, after Andre Villas-Boas left the Estádio do Dragão for Stamford Bridge.

Falcao went on record to state that he would be interested in following his former boss to Chelsea, although it remains unclear whether the Blues have made an approach for the Colombia international.

TalkSPORT reports that Spurs were also contemplating a move for Falcao, as Harry Redknapp looks to bring a striker of proven quality to White Hart Lane during the transfer window.

The Spurs boss has also been linked with a swoop for Falcao's teammate Hulk, with chairman Daniel Levy alleged to have already held talks with representatives of the Brazilian.
