Manchester United's man of the moment Nani, who sealed the Community Shield win against derby rivals City with two goals last weekend, has said that he is not going anywhere.

The Portugese winger pledged his allegiance to Old Trafford after rumours hinting at a move, and Sir Alex Ferguson has consistently selected the on-form 24-year-old, who has repaid his manager with goals and loyalty.

"I am very well there," Nani said of Manchester United. "I think it's the best club in the world and want to stay there and work well.

"It's good to know that big clubs are interested in me but, right now, I'm very satisfied with my club and I want to continue with them."

Nani had been linked to Italian clubs Inter Milan and Juventus, but after his “best game ever” for the club, Nani feels he has no reason to leave Old Trafford.

“I think it was fantastic because it is always a big derby,” he continued.

“We were losing 2-0 but we came back to get the result.

"We played an excellent game and I scored two goals. I'll always remember that second half.

"I came out of there very happy and I think that was my best game ever because it was a final and because it gave us a trophy.

"I am working to be the best Nani for the team this season and Sir Alex Ferguson congratulated me after the match.

"I always give my best, I'm fine and I want to stay that way until the end of the season."

Responding to Nani's performance over the weekend, Ferguson announced that he will give Nani every chance to play his best this season by offering the former Sporting Lisbon star regular first team football.

Manchester United's manager said: “You have seen Nani's form in pre-season. He will start the season."
