Carling Cup hero Lyle Taylor is ready to lead the line for Bournemouth against Sheffield Wednesday with teenager Danny Ings rated as 50-50.

The Cherries brushed Dagenham aside 5-0 in the Carling Cup first round with 21-year-old striker Taylor bagging a late brace.

Ings sat that game out after coming off injured in the 3-0 defeat to Charlton on the opening day.

Steve Lovell is not expected to return until next week and Michael Symes is still nursing a back problem but boss Lee Bradbury bolstered his attacking options by bringing in Ryan Doble on loan from Southampton.

Left-back Scott Malone is a minor doubt and Joe Partington will not feature again until September although he has started running in training.

Sheffield Wednesday's latest signing Chris Lines will go straight into their squad for the game at Bournemouth.

Former Bristol Rovers midfielder Lines has signed a three-year deal at Hillsborough and could be one of several changes anticipated for the Owls' first away game of the season.

Manager Gary Megson made 10 changes for Thursday night's Carling Cup penalty shootout win over Blackpool, with only striker Gary Madine retaining his place from the side that beat Rochdale on the opening day.

Megson has no new injury or suspension problems, but forward Chris O'Grady, signed from Rochdale earlier in the week, is still struggling with a strained foot muscle and will not be in contention.

Another striker signed this week, Daniel Uchechi, on loan from Nigerian side FC Dender, playing for an hour against Blackpool and will be hoping to feature again at Bournemouth.

Skipper Rob Jones and Danny Batth are expected to return to central defence, while David Prutton and Jose Semedo are likely to resume their midfield partnership.
