Glovers in second-half masterclass: Match Review

Yeovil claimed their first win of the season after a second-half masterclass condemned Oldham to a 3-1 defeat.

Gavin Williams was at the centre of everything good in the Yeovil display and in the 48th minute he smashed a 25-yard free-kick into the wall, leaving midfielder Ed Upson to fire home the rebound from just outside the box.

On 74 minutes, Williams was again in the thick of the action as brilliant dribble down the right resulted in a pass to the unmarked Andy Williams, who shot low into the corner from close range.

Yeovil sensed the game was won and they got a third goal from the penalty spot on 81 minutes when substitute Kieran Agard was fouled by Zander Diamond on the byline.

Skipper Paul Wotton hammered past the right hand of Alex Cisak, although the keeper got a fist to the ball, while Oldham claimed a stoppage-time penalty through Reuben Reid.
