Arsenal have a buy-back option for Barcelona signing Cesc Fabregas, with the club also entitled to 50% of the fee should Barcelona sell the Spaniard to another club, according to the Daily Mirror.
Fabregas has endured a transfer saga with Barcelona lasting years, and the 24-year-old finally got his wish and headed back to his hometown yesterday.
The details of the deal reportedly cover over £40 million in transfer fees, along with Arsenal getting access to re-sign Fabregas should Barcelona decide to sell their prized possession at the end of his five year contract.
Arsenal were also said to have capitalized on their purchases of Barca youngsters Hector Bellerin and Jon Toral, with no further options, sell-on or compensation claims available to the Spanish giants in the deal.
Fabregas today tweeted to Arsenal fans that he was thankful for all of their support over the years.
“To all Gunners: A big thank you for your unconditional support during the last 8 y[ea]rs. Just say that I will always carry you in my heart!” the now ex-Arsenal skipper said.
“Once a gunner, always a gunner. Have a good day guys.”
