Arsene Wenger is still waiting on an enquiry for defender Sebastian Squillaci, with the manager keen to gather as much money as possible to use in the last week of the transfer window, according to Talksport.
Squillaci has not featured for the Gunners squad this season, with Wenger insisting that the reason is a calf injury.
The Arsenal manager is reportedly hoping to sell Squillaci, who the club purchased for £4 million last summer, but no club has come forward with an offer as yet.
Wenger told reporters today that he is planning to spend big in the transfer market, but only on a player who will fit perfectly into the Arsenal line up.
And while the Frecnhman has promised to bolster the squad in the last week of the transfer window, Wenger will no doubt be hoping to get rid of any players who aren’t in his plans for Arsenal’s future, and garner as much money as possible to keep the club in the black.
