Manchester United youngster Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley are to be offered 'double-your-money' contracts to stay at Manchester United for the long term, according to the Sun.
Welbeck and Cleverley have both starred at Old Trafford this season, and Sir Alex Ferguson is reportedly keen to tie them to the club for as long as possible.
While Manchester United had been preparing new deals for the duo, after Welbeck and Cleverley’s performances against Tottenham on Monday night, bosses are said to have made a conceded effort to get the deal through as soon as possible.
The youngsters are currently the lowest paid players in the United squad, and Ferguson is to offer them £40,000 a week each and a five year deal, even though the pair signed three year extensions this year.
But Ferguson is desperate to keep hold of his young stars to recreate a United dynasty, and a fourth generation of superstars under his reign who will win titles and challenge in Europe.
