Barnsley manager Keith Hill has angrily refuted speculation linking striker Danny Haynes with a move away from Oakwell.

Championship rivals Leicester, Hull, Burnley and Portsmouth have all been reported to be interested in the 23-year-old, who is under contract at Barnsley until 2013.

Hill said: "At this moment in time I've not had one enquiry for Danny Haynes."

He added: "I've just had a lot of speculation. I've heard a lot in the press, I don't know where the rumours are coming from.

"But I can assure you no manager has been in touch with me. I think it's been unnerving and upsetting Danny, the speculation, because you can't help but see it, read it, feel it.

"It's not helping me, Barnsley Football Club or Danny Haynes because that speculation isn't real."
