Dale seal Barnes-Homer deal

Published Add your comment

Striker Matthew Barnes-Homer has completed a loan deal to Rochdale from Luton until January.

The 25-year-old arrived at Kenilworth Road permanently in January last year following an initial loan deal from Kidderminster.

Barnes-Homer scored nine times in 20 league outings last year and netted an impressive 21 goals the season before.

He told Dale's official website: "I'm happy to be here and I'm looking forward to the challenge.

"I believe (manager) Steve Eyre had been keeping an eye on me for a while and as I'm not playing at Luton it was a good opportunity for both parties.

"I'm here until January and I know I have to work hard to get into the team and I'm sure the way Rochdale play will suit my style."
