Brentford have signed rookie defender Adam Thompson on a month's loan from Watford.

The 18-year-old, who was capped by Northern Ireland last season, could make his Bees debut against Tranmere at Griffin Park on Saturday.

"Adam will help us in certain areas," manager Uwe Rosler told the club's official website.

"He has represented his country and played in the Championship, and he will be a very good addition to the squad.

"I am looking forward to working with him."
