Angelo Balanta and Jabo Ibehre are doubts for MK Dons as the league leaders prepare to host Stevenage.

Balanta replaced Ibehre at half-time during the 4-0 Carling Cup victory against Norwich in midweek but both strikers left Carrow Road nursing muscle strains.

Manager Karl Robinson could face a striker shortage should neither make it, with West Ham looking to tie up a deal for Sam Baldock after tabling a bid for the 22-year-old.

Darren Potter returned from suspension on Tuesday night and the midfielder is expected to retain his place in the side.

Adam Chicksen, Tom Flanagan, Daniel Powell and George Baldock are options for Robinson should he need to make changes but Mathias Kouo-Doumbe remains a long-term absentee with ankle ligament damage.

Manager Graham Westley has hinted he could make changes for Stevenage.

Westley made just one change against Hartlepool last weekend, putting Michael Bostwick straight back into the team on his return from suspension in place of Craig Reid.

The Boro boss thought his side looked fatigued as they fell 2-0 behind at home and was forced into early changes that resulted in salvaging a late point.

"After a long, hard week with two games on the road that probably caught up with one or two players," said Westley. "The likes of Stacy (Long), the likes of Mous (John Mousinho), even Ash (Jon Ashton), have been out for long periods, and I've probably got so much faith in their natural fitness which is why I gave them the shirt but I think tiredness caught us out."

Robin Shroot impressed from the bench against Hartlepool and is a strong contender to force his way into the starting line-up, while Jennison Myrie-Williams, Chris Beardsley and Reid will be hoping to do likewise.
