Portsmouth have signed striker Marko Futacs on a one-year deal, with the option a year extension should he impress.
The Hungarian was at German side Werder Bremen for two seasons but spent last year on loan at FC Ingolstadt 04.
And Futacs is hoping his 6ft 5in build will cause problems for sides in the Championship, telling Portsmouth's official website: "It's very exciting and I'm very happy to be here."
He added: "I've trained with the team and it's different from how things were in France and Germany, but I think this is the best place for me - the English game suits me and the way I play.
"I've heard the Pompey fans are fantastic supporters and I can't wait to play in front of them."
