Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is notorious for making deadline day moves at White Hart Lane, having famously secured the signing of Rafael Van der Vaart last summer and having bids rejected for Diego Forlan and Giuseppe Rossi.
It's defence that appears to be a key area of concern for the club though, having let Jonathan Woodgate leave for Stoke City and injury concerns hanging over the head of Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate.
Gary Cahill has been continuously linked with both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal this summer, with the Daily Mirror reporting Redknapp offered two players-plus-cash for the England international last night. The offer was rejected, and Bolton are standing firm over their £17 million valuation.
Midfield has been an area heavily discussed by Spurs fans all summer, with Chelsea continuing their high-profile pursuit of Luka Modric down to the wire. Redknapp is adamant the Croatian international won't be sold though.
Scott Parker appears the most likely signing on deadline day, with the West Ham United midfielder handing in a transfer request and thought to be close to finalising a deal at White Hart Lane. David Bentley could go the other way as part of the deal.
Lassana Diarra has also been heavily linked in August, but the club now appear to have their sights set on England international Parker.
In attack, Brazilian international Leandro Damiao has been heavily courted by Spurs, who made a bid back in June and were reported to have done the same last week. Goal.com go on to claim n €18.7 million bid was tabled yesterday. Craig Bellamy has also been speculatively linked, while Emmanuel Adebayor has already joined from Manchester City on loan.
Peter Crouch and Roman Pavlyuchenko have been tipped to leave the club, although time is running out ahead of tonight's 11pm deadline.
