Tottenham Hotspur are to offer midfielder David Bentley to West Ham United as part of the deal to sign Scott Parker, according to reports.

The wide-man has become surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane under Harry Redknapp, and could now leave the club on deadline day to secure the arrival of the England international in north London.

TalkSPORT reports that it's currently unknown if Bentley will be willing to accept terms on offer at West Ham, and make a step down from the Barclays Premier League to the Npower Championship.

It's also claimed that Tottenham Hotspur starlet Harry Kane could be offered to the Hammers as part of the deal, with the teenager making his senior Spurs debut earlier in the month against Hearts in the Europa League.

Parker handed in a written transfer request yesterday in an effort to secure the Spurs switch on deadline day, although neither club has confirmed that a deal has been agreed as of yet.

Tottenham Hotspur are also reported to be in talks over defender Gary Cahill, and Redknapp could be involved in yet more deadline day drama after securing Rafael Van der Vaart at the same time last summer.
