Talksport claims that Arsenal are set to pay around £10 million for Chu Park Young, on the proviso that they can get him out of military service for South Korea.

While the Gunners have confirmed that a deal has been agreed to with Park, pen has yet to be put to paper over the move.

The player is subject to international registration, and the issue of military service is also one that Arsenal have been trying to deal with – Park has to participate in service for South Korea in two years.

Lilli were said to be on the verge of signing Park over the weekend, but Arsenal stole the march on their French counterparts by doubling Lille’s £5 million bid.

But according to Talksport, Arsenal will only pay the top dollar for Park if they know for sure he won’t need to do military service.
