Lorient are set to sign Arsenal striker Gilles Sunu, with the 20-year-old ‘on the verge’ of completing a deal with the French club, according to Talksport.
Sunu has been on loan at Lorient before, and the club are now reportedly looking at bringing the Frenchman to the club on a permanent basis.
And after making just one appearance for Arsenal since he signed for the club in 2008, the youngster is hopeful that a deal can be agreed to by the end of the day.
Sunu was selected for the bench when Arsenal took on Manchester United on Sunday, but was an unused substitute.
Sunu played alongside Jack Wilshere and Emmanuel Frimpong in Arsenal’s youth team, and while he was seen as a future star at the club, Lorient are now hoping to seal a four year deal for the wonderkid to move to the Stade du Moustoir.
