Chelsea have confirmed the signing of midfielder Raul Meireles from Liverpool.
The Portuguese international moves to Stamford Bridge on a four-year deal, having spent just over a season at Anfield after arriving under former manager Roy Hodgson.
28-year-old Meireles will link-up with Andre Villas-Boas for a second time, having previously worked with his compatriot during his time at Porto.
The Merseysiders confirmed in the later stages on deadline day that the player had handed in a transfer request, and the Blues confirmed the deal on their official website in the final minutes of the window.
"Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Raul Meireles from Liverpool on a four-year contract," read a statement on their website late Wednesday evening.
