Stevenage have signed striker Don Cowan from Irish First Division side Longford Town for an undisclosed fee.
The 21-year-old was Longford's leading goalscorer and had attracted the attention of several clubs in recent months.
Cowan impressed Stevenage manager Graham Westley while on trial this week and signed a contract at Broadhall Way just moments before the transfer window closed on Wednesday night.
Cowan began his career at Shamrock Rovers, where he featured largely for the reserves before sealing a move to Longford.
