Arsenal midfield target Keisuke Honda has suffered a knee injury, and looks to be out of the CSKA Moscow squad for three months, according to Uefa.com.
Hona picked up the injury in CSKA’s match up with Spartak Moscow on Sunday, coming off in the first half of the 2-2 draw.
Arsenal have long been connected with the Japan international, with the Gunners reportedly making enquiries in the lead up to deadline day over Honda.
But CSKA insisted that he was staying, leaving Arsenal to possibly consider a bid in the January window.
Honda had to undergo immediate surgery, and the Arsenal target could be out of action until close to the end of the year.
