Accrington will receive £55,000 immediately from Scunthorpe for Jimmy Ryan, with the potential transfer fee rising to £170,000 after add-ons.

A tribunal in Manchester set the figure after the midfielder moved from Accrington to Glanford Park in the summer.

"If we're honest we would have liked to have received more," said Stanley chief executive Rob Heys.

"But I'm sure Scunthorpe would have wanted to pay less.

"Jimmy is a good player who served us well.

"We wish him and everyone at Scunthorpe all the best for the future."
