England are preparing to face Wales for the Euro 2012 qualifier on Tuesday after a comfortable victory against Bulgaria on Friday night.

With England on the verge of qualifying for next summer’s tournament, Fabio Capello is demanding three points at Wembley from his players.

Capello is without Darren Bent, Leighton Baines and Micah Richards, while doubts remain over the fitness of Liverpool striker Andy Carroll.

Reports suggest Andre Villas-Boas is set to rival Tottenham for the signature of Bolton defender Gary Cahill in the January transfer window.

Arsene Wenger is said to be tracking Lazio midfielder Hernanes with a view of signing the playmaker when the transfer window reopens.

Tottenham could be planning to make a move for LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham in November, when he is available on a free transfer.

Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina, who has been linked with a move away from Anfield, has pledged his future to the Merseyside club.

And finally, sources suggest Wesley Sneijder believes his proposed move to Manchester United could still happen in January.
