Leeds United manager Simon Grayson is looking to leading marksman Luciano Becchio to spearhead his attack when he returns from injury in the coming weeks.
The Argentine star, who has been sidelined since April, is making promising progress as he continues his rehabilitation from a hamstring injury.
Becchio pulled up in a 2-2 draw with Watford at Elland Road last season, and as he nears a return to action, Grayson emphasised the lift that the 27-year-old will give to everybody.
"He's progressing nicely," Grayson told the Yorkshire Evening Post. "He's obviously going to be short on match fitness and a bit ring-rusty.
"So we'll just see where we are. But he isn't getting too far away, which is a real plus for everybody."
Becchio is expected to feature in tonight's closed-doors friendly against Hull City, and bar any further setback, could return for Leeds in Saturday's visit of Crystal Palace.
The Whites have made an indifferent start to the new campaign with only four points from their opening five games, they currently find themselves 19th in the Npower Championship table.
Leeds fans will be hoping that Becchio's imminent return will help propel them up the table, starting with three points at Elland Road on Saturday.
