Blackburn Rovers are the latest club to line up a bid for Bristol City striker Nicky Maynard, according to The Daily Mail.
The likes of West Ham United, Leicester City and Southampton have all been linked with moves for the 24-year-old this summer, but manager Keith Millen was able to warn off any interest as the transfer window slammed shut.
However, with Rovers keen to bolster their attack, despite signing Yakubu on the final day of the window, manager Steve Kean will turn his attention to Maynard.
Reports suggest that Rovers have held extensive talks already with City over a move for the player who's asking price in £6.5 million.
Rovers will continue to monitor Maynard's progress as they plot a January swoop.
