Danish teenager Christian Eriksen - a reported target for Liverpool - is still content with life at Ajax, and does not expect to leave Amsterdam for another 'two or three years'.

The 19-year-old midfielder is regarded as one of the hottest prospects in European football but is intent on continuing to serve his football education in Holland.

Eriksen claimed earlier this year that he understood Liverpool had been one of several teams tracking him, although it remains unclear if the Reds made an attempt to bring him to Anfield.

Along with Liverpool, Manchester City have been credited with interest in the Denmark international, although Eriksen would favour an eventual move to Spain.

"With my style of play, there is no doubt that Spain would be ideal for me," Eriksen told Voetbal International.

"But I'm still not transferring. My priority is to play football and at Ajax I play in the championship and I will play in the Champions League.

"It may take two or three years before I move to Spain. I'm in no hurry to go until I'm ready to go."
