Leeds manager Simon Grayson is hoping to boost his squad with the return of four players from long-term injury.

Strikers Luciano Becchio and Billy Paynter as well as defenders Leigh Bromby and Alex Bruce all came through a behind-closed-doors friendly victory over Hull unscathed.

Argentinian Becchio marked his first appearance since April by scoring a penalty in the 4-0 win, and Grayson said: "It wasn't just about Luciano, though."

He added: "Leigh Bromby came back from injury and we'll see where we are with him as well, and both Alex Bruce and Billy Paynter came through without any problems.

"It was good to see Luciano back. The plan was to play him for 45 minutes but things went well, we gave him an hour and he felt good afterwards.

"It's encouraging and positive. He's still a bit off being a 100% fit Luciano Becchio, but it's the first step and it's good for everyone."
