Five picks for Liverpool's next Suarez find

When Luis Suarez signed for Liverpool in the January transfer window, Kenny Dalglish himself could not have imagined how useful the striker would become for the Reds.

Scoring six goals in 16 appearances, the squad are now built around Suarez’s brilliance, and Dalglish has shown so much faith in the Uruguay international that he has signed up international teammate Sebastian Coates in the transfer window just passed.

And now, Damien Comolli has revealed that Liverpool are establishing a formal relationship with Nacional, the Uruguayan club where Coates and Suarez both spent their youth careers and were developed into the top-class players they are today.

There’s a pool full of talent just waiting for Liverpool to tap into at the club, and GMF looks at five players Kenny Dalglish will be keeping a close eye on in the Premiera Division this season.

Rodrigo Munoz

Munoz is the Nacional captain, and no doubt an inspiration for his teammates as an established member of the Uruguayan international side. With the 29-year-old goalkeeper helping his side win the Premiera Division last season, and keeping the goals out while Suarez knocks them in for Uruguay, Dalglish will surely have his eye on the stopper as a possible back up for Pepe Reina.

Sebastian Charquero

Charquero recently joined Nactional from Montevideo, and the 22-year-old attacker is just the kind of player Dalglish would want to have in his forward line. He’s scored two goals in just four appearances for the Uruguayan side, and at just 22, he is still full of potential that he can show the Liverpool scouts this season.

Matias Cabrera

Liverpool already have South Americans Lucas Leiva and Maxi Rodriguez in the midfield, and Cabrera will no doubt be an option for Dalglish as well if the 25-year-old shows his worth this season. The Uruguayan is edging on national selection, and the more players Dalglish can get hold of who play for club and country, the better.

Nicolas Lopez

Lopez spent most of his youth career at Nacional, after being rejected by Uruguayan side Montevideo because they believed he wasn’t physically strong enough to be a professional footballer.

While he still has a way to go to prove them wrong, in two appearances for the Nacional senior side after moving up from the academy, the 17-year-old has already scored a goal. With his age and potential, Liverpool will be hoping to get their hands on the striker as soon as possible. Lopez is also reportedly fielding interest from clubs in the Serie A over his talents.

Joaquin Antonio Boghossian

This one may be a little bit more of a curve-ball consideration for Dalglish, as Boghossian is on loan from Red Bull Salzburg, but the forward has scored two goals in two games and a possible option to bolster the Liverpool forward line. He hasn’t been the subject of much transfer gossip since signing for Salzburg in 2010 either, so Liverpool may have the upper hand in working out a deal to take him on.
