Tottenham have confirmed that Sandro has signed a new deal with the club, tying him to White Hart Lane for another five years.
The Brazilian joined Tottenham in August last year, and has so far made 26 appearances for the north London outfit. Sandro has also become a regular in the Brazil squad, building up seven caps for his country.
He also starred for Spurs in their first Champions League birth in the history of the club last season, earning a man of the match performance against AC Milan.
Sandro recently denied that talks had taken place over a possible move to Roma, with the midfielder insisting that while he is flattered by interest from other clubs, he wanted to stay at Tottenham.
“I'm happy that a big club like Roma were keen, especially as they play in an important championship,” he said after the transfer window shut.
"I'm convinced we'll have a good season at Tottenham. It's a great club, with great players. I believe we can finish in the top three or four this term."
The 22-year-old is yet to feature for Spurs this season after undergoing knee surgery following the Copa America.
