Arsenal are stepping up their chase of Lucas Biglia, with scouts attending a game in Belgium to watch the Anderlecht star, according to the Daily Mail.
Biglia has starred alongside departed Chelsea starlet Romelu Lukaku for the Belgian side, and has attracted attention from numerous European clubs as a result.
Arsenal were continually connected to the midfielder over the summer break, but the Gunners failed to make a bid, and are said to be planning a January swoop if his form continues.
Biglia has recently established himself as a regular member of the Argentina side, and was part of the Copa America squad, drawing Arsenal’s attention to the midfielder even more so.
And depending on how Mikel Arteta operates in the midfield role at Arsenal this season, Arsene Wenger may feel that more support is needed in the area left vacant by Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri.
