Arsenal are eyeing up the possibility of bringing PSV striker Ola Toivonen to the Emirates in January, according to Talksport.
Toivonen has put in some impressive form for the Dutch side, and has attracted attention from numerous clubs as a result.
While Arsenal were hoping to talk about a possible deal with the striker’s representatives, with the frantic mess that was deadline day for Arsene Wenger, the club were unable to bring Toivonen on board.
Toivonen has scored 18 goals in 32 appearances for PSV, and while he has signed a new contract keeping him at the club until 2014, Arsenal are still confident that they can meet the £12 million valuation for the 25-year-old.
Arsenal are said to be monitoring Toivonen’s continued form this season, and are already planning a January swoop if he is still as good as he is now.
