Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas is delighted to welcome back three players to his squad for the trip to Sunderland this weekend.
David Luiz and Petr Cech have been recently been on the sidelines with injury, while striker Daniel Sturridge is yet to play this season following suspension.
However, Villas-Boas has confirmed that the trio are ready to return this weekend ahead of the The Blues game with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
"They are available for selection," Villas-Boas said.
"Petr is lucky to be with us so quickly and he made an extremely good recovery with fantastic work from the medical staff.
"David Luiz got injured during the first few minutes when he came back and has been steadily progressing and is finally up for selection.
"He went with the national team last week. He was selected but not available to play because we felt he was in the last process of recovery. Both players have done extremely well since the whole squad got together yesterday."
Cech was meant to be out for four weeks after picking up a knee injury, but his speedy recovery comes in the nick of time of Chelsea, with their Champions League opener against Bayer Leverkusen and visit to Manchester United on the horizon.
Meanwhile, Sturridge, who was sent off for Bolton on the final day of last season, is also set to be involved after a loan spell at the Reebok Stadium last season.
"Sturridge never stopped training very, very well since his last game against Rangers where he scored twice. He is very competitive in training," he added.
"Everyone saw the part he can play, not only in our pre season but at Bolton last year so it is a plus that he is available for selection and he can add to the team as well."
