Lafferty strike downs Terrors

Kyle Lafferty grabbed the only goal of the game as Rangers claimed a 1-0 victory over 10-man Dundee United to remain top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.

United were dealt a blow when Johnny Russell was shown a straight red card after just half an hour.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, the Tayside club did have chances to find the back of the net but it was Lafferty who netted the decisive goal to hand the Scottish champions all three points.
